Snakey shame [read like Sean Connery].

Posted by Diana on July 18, 2008

Either an anaconda shed its skin, or the manufacturers used waaaaaaaaaay too much packing paper….

I’m inclined to believe it’s the latter.

It should be embarrassing for a company, especially in this day and age, to waste such an excessive amount of material.  The products being delivered are not fragile and certainly do not require that amount of extra packaging.  It took multiple recycling bins to house all of that excess.

That looks like one of those springy snakes that jumps out at you from a tin of “peanut brittle”: The pressure must have been so great that all the packing material was ready to shoot out. It looks like there’s so much stuff that one has to wonder how it could all physically fit into the box in the first place. Perhaps it was vacuum-sealed. Shame on them.

    Library supplies I believe.

They were half empty (or full, if you’re optimistic). I think there were bookends and tape. So sad.
